The Head of Group Risk Management & Internal Control will ensure that risks are identified and considered in the development of the strategic vision, and proactively managed to balance both the risk and rewards around business decision making.
The Head of Group Risk Management & Internal Control reports directly to the CFO, and acts in close contact with the SHV Holding risk management function.

- Brings a successful track record in corporate Risk Management and Internal Control, with a recognized sensitivity for balancing business risks with business opportunities.
- Brings the experience and personal gravitas to be a trusted business partner and advisor to the ERIKS Management Board, the ERIKS Audit Committee and to the stakeholders at SHV.
- Has the proven ability to enable well-balanced risk-based decision making by senior leadership.
Setting Strategy
- Brings a vision on best-in-class risk management, with the ability to translate this into a compelling and practical risk-management strategy.
- Has the ability to assist management in defining the company’s position re risk appetite/tolerance.
- Brings experience with the design, continuous development and maintenance of a comprehensive operational control structure (like the EBSF), aligned with the company’s strategy, business objectives, and related risks.
Executing for Results
- Brings proven excellence in implementing risk management strategy, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and strategic imperatives of the organization.
- Experience with the establishment of an Enterprise Risk Management framework, as well as all the related tools, practices and policies as to effectively monitor risk-related programs and decision making.
- Brings proven skills to effectively, regularly and compellingly report on risk to the ERIK Management Board and the stakeholders at SHV Holding. Has the ability to translate risk-related data into meaningful and insightful information for business decision making.
Leading Teams
- Brings the ability to lead the ERIKS Group Risk Management department and provide guidance to the international representatives of the Internal Control department.
- Experienced in translating the risk management strategy and the internal control objectives into clear and achievable accountabilities and targets for regional and functional management.
Building Relationships and Using Influence
- Has the ability to build effective relationships with C-level executives and international senior management. Brings the experience, intellect, communicational skills and personal gravitas to be a trusted advisor to all stakeholders.
- Job requirements
- Certified professional Auditor qualification (CPA, RA, RO)
- Master in Economics or Business Administration, preferably with a Business School MBA
- Understanding of Risk Management structures and methodologies
- Understanding of IT / data risks and systems
- Proven track record (> 10 years) in leading risk management and/or internal audit engagements, preferably operational and financial
- Strong experience with project management, with excellent reporting skills (both oral and written)
- Should be self-driven with strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
- International work experience
- Willing to travel 30%
