Regional Accountant (referentienummer: 2936)

As Regional Accountant you are the key leader for the business providing financial support to decision making and strategy development. The position provides business performance reporting to many different internal and external stakeholders and assist with the forecasting and budgeting process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops comprehensive view of the business, risks and opportunities to the financial position and financial health of the entities. Communicates effectively with business leaders and actively includes other members of the finance team. Regularly provides recommendations to improve performance and results.
• Provides complete and sufficient analysis on business performance against budget and prior year. Synthesizes information for relevant audiences.
• Prepare financial scenarios and lead discussions to support key decisions, corporate strategy or negotiations with third parties on an as needed basis.
• Participates in business discussions, strategy reviews, and other meetings.
• Maintains financial model in accordance with accounting standards for internal forecasts and maintains lender model for reporting coverage ratios and other requirements for external lenders. Updates and improves models regularly.
• Manage the monthly financial close, consolidation and reporting process.
• Manage the preparation of any external reporting, including for subsidy, debt governance, royalty purposes, etc.
• Responsible for recurring (weekly, monthly) management reporting at group level, and for the respective business lines.
• Lead the year-end closing process, the preparation of the annual financial statements in the Netherlands and manage the external audit process.
• Support with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic reforecasts. Review actuals, and analyze variances; follow-up with detailed reviews where required.
• Define, formalize and maintain finance and accounting policies and procedures.
