In this role you are co-responsible for the group consolidation process, all internal and external Group Reporting.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Internal and external group periodic reporting activity ensuring the accurate and timely production of all relevant information;
- Assist with the internal and external audit process and ensure all deadlines are met from producing the accounts to getting sign off;
- Maintain appropriate accounting policies for the Group to achieve compliance with current standards, consistency and drive management behaviours;P
- Provide support to board regarding Shareholder relations activities;
- Contributing to the design, development and enhancement of financial systems, processes and reports for both new and existing entities in order to achieve best practice;
- Communicate the impact of accounting changes on business operations and make recommendations to ensure compliance;
- Monitor the Group’s foreign exchange exposures and interest rate exposures under the existing Credit Facility and account appropriately for these hedges;
- Involvement and provide support with potential M&A activities;
- Contribute to a robust system of financial controls, complying with all applicable laws and accounting standards;
- Improve and implement an internal control framework, including the possible creation of an internal audit function;
- Act as a point of contact for operational audit requirements;
- Work closely with FD’s of Norwegian and UK execution centres;
- Produce monthly management accounts to agreed timetable at the standard required for the shareholders.
- De functie-eisen
- Qualified accountant (RA/RC/CPA/CA), with at least 6 years of relevant working experience preferably with one of the big4 firms and/or an international environment;
- Technically strong with experience of complex consolidations and Group reporting;
- IFRS expert;
- Good understanding of US GAAP is a plus;
- Proactive with excellent analytical skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Willingness to proactively identify issues and work to a solution;
- Willingness to travel (approximately 25% of the time)
