Key responsibilities
- Ensuring the organisation will be compliance to internal (EIA policy, Cost centre structure, etc) and external procedures (AFM, IFRS etc) by providing training to local staff, reviewing the quality of the OpCo submissions, addressing and documenting complex accounting questions from regional and local management, maintain and develop their accounting policies.
- Manage projects such as implementation of new accounting standards and other projects to improving the finance function by identifying the improvements, initiating the projects and to embed it in the daily operations. The projects generally require stakeholder management of Senior Management, all OpCo’s and changes to our accounting systems.
- Support other global functions like Treasury, Tax, Business Control, Global Audit and Business Development with accounting or finance related and topics such as set-up and roll out of new systems and Process & Control Improvements.
Measures of success
- Act as the Finance representative for accounting questions and issues for all OpCo’s in a certain geographical region.
- Manage stakeholders by giving the right level of support (Business Partnering), while also ensuring strict compliance with our accounting policies and procedures (Protect the organisation’s reputation).
Challenges
- Working in a fast changing and demanding environment.
- Balancing act by trying to achieve best outcome for the organisation but ensure compliance with accounting rules at the same time. This is even more applicable when OpCo targets can be achieved or missed as a result of the decision made and communicated by the Finanial Reporting Specialist

Requirements
- You have finished your CPA or RA
- 7-10 years’ experience required in a complex international environment and significant exposure to IFRS and complex accounting issues. Preferably BIG 4 and/or Corporate reporting background
- Fluent English language required
- Other languages like French preferred
- Experienced with Microsoft Office, Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (5-10%).
