Head Accounting & Tax Europe en Asia (referentienummer: 3308)

In this role you will be responsible for the accuracy of accounting and financial reporting as well as the direct and indirect tax filing of the European and Asian entities.

Therefore you ensure compliance with relevant IFRS, commercial law and tax regulations in the booking of business transactions and in the determination of items in the balance sheet and profit and loss account. You ensure compliance with all applicable tax requirements (direct & indirect). You ensure compliance with policies, procedures and legal, compliance and internal control requirements. You ensure the definition of Sox-controls to guarantee a high quality control of the activities as well as timely and accurate filling of accounting and tax reports.

The balance in the role is 40% strategic, 40% organizational and human development, 20% operational (accounting/reporting). You will coordinate taxes and constantly coordinate monitor and enhance the closing process as well as coordinate audits and statutory reports. In this position you will steer a team of 15 fte and 3 middle management and report in to the CFO. You support the CFO with all strategic topics regarding tax & accounting as well as M&A. Stakeholder management is key to the position. You will have interfaces with tax and accounting authorities, suppliers. Internal and external auditors, external services providers, all support and business functions and corporate areas (accounting, SSC, Tax planning and tax legal). Besides this you carry out the optimization of all processes with respect to efficiency and effectiveness considering compliance with all regulatory and intern controls requirements.
