The organisation
For our client, an International organisation, buy and built strategy, we are looking for a Tax Manager.
At the corporate head office a new position for a Manager has arisen. He/she will be part of the tax team currently consisting of 2 tax professionals and will report to the Group Tax Manager. The tax team regularly interacts with other tax professionals of the group companies.
The function
To support the growth of the organisation and the increasing complexity of the global activities the tax team at the head office will be expanded with a new Tax Manager position. The tasks and responsibilities will consist of international corporate tax matters and support tax compliance for the Group. More specifically the main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Provide (inter)national tax advice and support on corporate income tax, withholding taxes and special projects relating to international taxation;
- Support in M&A projects and assist in due diligence on acquisitions, divestments, finance structuring and corporate restructurings;
- Support tax audits and negotiate with tax authorities;
- Support the Tax Accountant in tax compliance and ensure proper tax accounting & reporting;
- Assist with the management of country-by-country / DAC6-and other compliance reportings;
- Assist in implementing, maintaining and monitoring the (global) transfer pricing methodology as well as provide internal advice. Support and update intercompany documentation;
- Understanding of international wage tax and VAT principles and support business units if needed;
- Liaise with the internal departments (e.g. legal, finance and business), including creating increasing tax awareness, and manage relationships with external tax advisors;
- Liaise with tax authorities on a regular basis
The requirements
Experience and competencies:
- An excellent and all-round tax professional with an University degree in tax law or fiscal economics;
- Some 6-8 years of relevant work experience in Dutch and international tax;
- In-depth knowledge of Dutch- and international tax legislation and their practical applications;
- Knowledge of VAT, experience in an in-house tax department and in providing and explaining tax guidance to non-tax professionals are all a plus;
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and processes;
- Commercial awareness and customer orientation with a pro-active mindset;
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written, fluent in business English);
- IT skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
