Our client is a world leader in imaging products. Its technologies continue to play a significant role in defining the photographic industry. Beyond photography, they are also a leading innovator of precision optical lens devices and microscopy products. Based in the European headquarter in Amstelveen, they support all business units across all Group Companies in Europe.

Role Overview

As an IT Auditor, you will be responsible for supporting the Internal audit in assessing and improving IT governance, risk management, and control processes across Europe.  You will be part of the audit team (5fte) and the subject matter expert. 

You will participate in Information system audits as well as operational integrated audits of various areas and business units and complete special projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, (internal)  control, and governance processes in order to align with clients corporate objectives.
• Conduct IT audits aligned with ISO 27001 and COBIT frameworks as part of integrated audits
• Stimulate It risk awareness within  each local business in Europe with the aim of adding value and improving operations.
• Evaluate and strengthen IT General Controls (ITGC) across systems and processes.
• Perform risk-based audits on IT infrastructure, applications, and data flows.
• Utilize data analysis and mitigate risks concerning Artificial Intelligence
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with Group policies and regulatory requirements as well as building relationships with subsidiary management and operations staff.
• Prepare audit reports, recommendations, and follow-up on remediation plans.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in IT governance and security.
• Support continuous development of standard approach and documentation for the internal audit department, tailored to the different business units within the organization and in line with development in regulations and audit practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Systems, IT Audit, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Professional certifications preferred: CISA, RE, or EMITA.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT audit, digital trust, it risk advisory, or technology assurance.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, COBIT, and ITGC frameworks.
• Experience with data analytics tools (Alteryx).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (fluency in English) with the ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels.

Additional Requirements

• Valid passport from a Schengen country (due to visa handling for UK travel). Qualifying candidates already are situated in The Netherlands.
• Candidates have ideally experience in  IT Risk Advisory or IT Audit environments within a Big 4 or similar consulting firms.
• Ability to define, plan, and execute tasks in accordance with priorities and deadlines.
• Self-dependent and pro active working style
• Strong organizational as well as stakeholder management skills
• Strong cultural awareness of working in a multicultural company.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% (Mainly within Europe and the UK, occasionally globally)
