Purpose of the position:
Identify if acquisitions fit in to the investment portfolio.
Role Priorities / Responsibilities:
- Perform/review financial due diligence (including non-financial analysis) of the target entities and interpret results for decision makers
- Set out the accounting considerations with respect to M&A transactions and provide guidance to internal stakeholders
- Drive understanding of the target entities financial close process and alignment with reporting requirements
- Purchase price allocation (PPA), fair value determination for identified assets and liabilities
- Alignment of accounting principles of target entities
- Preparation and/or review of closing statements
- Provide guidance on assets (including goodwill) impairment implications in relation to the target entities
- Assess risk and compliance issues, conducting tax and financial planning, determining cash flows, and identifying hidden costs in a M&A transaction
- Support in pre-close and post-close integration of the target entities
- Facilitate, prepare and/or review financial reporting of the target entities in support of the consolidated annual report
- Liaison and managing the external advisors on support throughout the different M&A steps

- Acting (sr) manager transaction services BIG 4
- CPA/chartered accountant/CFA
- Preferably with experience in the downstream sector in oil & gas industry
- Must have intimate knowledge and high skill levels in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and interfacing with SAP and BI systems
- Ability to deliver quality work on time
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate and influence decision-making with senior management
- Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, be a quick study, able to learn, retain and teach others new technology as it is introduced in the industry; and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies and standard business etiquette
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferable one other language.
- Highly flexible in handling a wide range of duties as needs arise.
- Possess solid knowledge and understanding of management accounting, finance and reporting tools.
