  • Job profile

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Timely and accurate processing of all relevant Controlling activities
    • Be the “Back office” and “Sparring partner” for local Business Controllers in NL
    • Secure controlling relevant Master Data consistency in Benelux
    • Create standard reports and standard analysis and submit on time as per corporate closing schedule
    • Ensure accuracy of monthly income statement, balance sheet, cost center and capex actual reporting
    • Prepare training material and conduct training of the staff inside and outside Finance
    • Ensure process standardization and improvements in their areas of responsibility
    • Highly IT sensitive (SAP CO modul)
    • Prepare quarterly and year end audit documentation and support statutory audit

    Cost accounting & Controlling

    • Perform period-end cost accounting entries & review allocation of relevant costs
    • Provide input for accruals
    • Set-up of the settlement cycles and monitor monthly run of the settlement cycles
    • Provide cost center reporting & analysis (Plan vs. actual deviation)
    • Ensure compliance at all times
    • Ensure needed CO reclassifications


    Profitability & Product Costing

    • Perform Product Costing activities (contributing margin analysis) and inventory accuracy
    • Estimate activity rates
    • Record period end production and distribution costs
    • Perform standard inventory analysis
    • Value inventory at actual costs
    • Ensure standard prices are defined & applied for all products
    • Control & adapt standard pricing in line with volatility of certain products (Helium, etc.)
    • Calculation & analysis of production cost (COGS)
    • Reporting/Budgeting

    Process optimization

    • Document record to report processes
    • Enhance by automatization, standardization.
    • Ensure that claimed savings are included in the submitted cost center budgets
    • Evaluate proposed saving initiatives in record to report
    • Propose savings in record to report
    • Review and assess (financial & non-financial) input from other systems (e.g. in production, logistics, planning) into consideration. 
    • Liaise with the project office team (PMO) where needed


    Reporting and Planning

    • Be liaison between the Benelux organisation and IBM Poland
    • Point of contact with regional, EMEA and/or corporate reporting
    • Perform corrections on stock
    • Report from SAP to TM1 monthly reconciliation and download
    • Check bookings made by IBM Poland and India on price differences and Costs


    Check all reports made by IBM Poland on completeness and accuracy

    •  Maintain Master data structures
    •  Key user SAP
    •  IFRS and US GAAP accounting manual 
    •  SOX Controls
    •  Perform upload budget and Forecast to COGNOS TM1 for all Benelux Companies
    •  Capex Budget and Forecast monitoring
    •  Support the completeness of the risk database
    • • Maintain list of potential upside/downside with impact on financial results
  • Job requirements
    • You hold a University degree in Finance / Controlling (WO or WO level)
    • Manufacturing / SAP Controlling experience 10+ years
    • Used to a functional organization, cross border processes and multicultural management teams
    • Process thinker
    • Willing and able to grow personally & professionally
    • English (any other language a plus)
